■ These colors are specially designed for model kits from SEGA’s popular game series, Cyber Troopers Virtual-On.
The Virtual-On Color Series is an officially approved line developed with the formal authorization of mechanical designer Hajime Katoki.
The raw materials have been carefully reformulated to create vibrant colors that more closely reproduce the appearance and atmosphere of the original designs.
■ For the Allied Front special-supplied unit “Victory in Our Hands.”
This color has been formulated to reproduce the body color of the Allied Front special-supplied unit “Victory in Our Hands,” based on high-end CG images of Kagekiyo [Rin] (such as those shown on the side of the package). It is a metallic brown paint blended with transparent red- and yellow-based pigments.
The key feature of this paint is that, with a single airbrushed application, it can create an effect similar to first applying a metallic brown base coat and then coating it with clear red and clear yellow.
When painting, the trick is to apply slightly more paint than usual. Once spraying begins, a matte metallic layer will appear first. Do not stop there—continue applying a little more paint, and a glossy clear-coated look will begin to develop on the surface.
Additional note for finishing the Allied Front special-supplied unit “Victory in Our Hands” (for Kagekiyo):
By mixing Ex-Silver into VO-32 Turquoise Metallic, it is possible to create colors close to the image of the darker metallic blue used on the center of the chest and the lighter metallic blue used on parts such as the crest on the head. The darker and lighter tones can be adjusted by changing the amount of Ex-Silver added.
