■ These colors are specially designed for model kits from SEGA’s popular game series, Cyber Troopers Virtual-On.
The Virtual-On Color Series is an officially approved line developed with the formal authorization of mechanical designer Hajime Katoki.
The raw materials have been carefully reformulated to create vibrant colors that more closely reproduce the appearance and atmosphere of the original designs.
■ For Kagekiyo’s weapons, Apharmd TB’s Tiger Blade, Apharmd TX’s Tiger Claw, and others.
This color has been formulated to reproduce the appearance of a sword blade. Compared with standard silver, it is slightly darker while offering a higher level of reflectivity. As the viewing angle changes, the shift from bright to dark is especially pronounced, making it ideal for recreating the look of a blade.
To reproduce the hamon (blade temper line), first paint the base with Ex-Silver. Then, while masking the cutting edge, apply Blade Silver to achieve a convincing finish.
It is especially well suited for the blades of Kagekiyo “Fire” and its Homura no Tsurugi, Apharmd TB’s Tiger Blade, Apharmd TX’s Tiger Claw, and similar weapons.
The color has been designed to prioritize visual impact on scale models rather than perfectly reproducing the appearance of a real metal blade.
